White always goes well with everything and this is why I like the Sprout Watch ST/6500MPWT($80). Then I saw the natural mother of pearl illuminated dial and fell in love with it! The printed black indexes provide a dramatic contrast to the mother of pearl and the natural wooden engraved bezel balances all the elements and gives it a rustic charm.
While the other timepiece is toned-down, the Sprout Watch ST/5045MPDP($60) is fun and funky. This avant-garde watch would be a great addition to a fashionista’s collection of accessories. With its bright fuchsia color and varicoloured Arabic numerals, this Sprout Watch just screams for attention and makes a great fashion statement. This would make a great accessory to my summer outfits and is bound to start many conversations about my new eco-forward watches.
Both Sprout Watches come with mercury-free battery but would also work with ordinary batteries (although you are highly encouraged to use mercury free ones which are friendlier to Mother Earth). Both also have mineral crystal lens, genuine mother-of-pearl dials, and corn resin case, back, bezel, bracelet and movement holder. Although corn resin is biodegradable, it will not break down with regular use and lasts as long as synthetic plastics. Unlike plastics though, it does not use oil resources in production.
