One of the best things I love about having a farm in the tropics is that I get to enjoy summer all year round! So while most of my friends are preparing for winter, here I am trying on two new swim wear from prAna – the Ailani bottom and the Mioko Tankini.
The prAna Ailani bottom comes in three colors: merlot, wine adrie, and black. I chose the one in Merlot which I think would go well with some of my printed tops. It has a wide waistband that works great in hiding that little bit of mommy bulge. It can also be rolled down for a sexier waistline. It has a fully lined front and back and a full seat coverage. The full seat may just be a little too full though. You need to have that J.Lo bottom to fill it completely. If you’re a bit on the flat side, avoid swimming while wearing this. On the other hand, the design and color is quite flattering so it’d still be great for lounging around in the beach.
The prAna Mioko Tankini in Black Cordelia is absolute love! The fabric is of high quality, the cut is flattering, and the design is just so fabulously awesome. Check out the design at the back:
To add to its awesomeness, the prAna Mioko Tankini is made of stretchable fabric that contours my body and enhances my figure. Since the fabric is stretchable, I can move freely while wearing it. This makes a great outfit for early morning beach yoga. The neckline is also adjustable so you can control just how much skin you want to show. The bra is fully lined and has removable cups for those concerned with peekaboos.
There used to be a time when the only things I considered in buying a swimsuit were design and fit. Now, I also look at the fabric and sun protection factor. Both the Ailani and the Mioko have 50+ UPF rating for sun protection and both are made of quick dry fabric. There’s less to worry about harmful sun rays and I get dry soon after getting out of the water.
