Christmas isn’t the only thing everyone’s looking forward to this last quarter of the year. Many sports enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the kick offs of various sports leagues. The 96th NFL season already began this week and will conclude with Superbowl 50 in February 2015. MLS Cup playoffs will be held from October 28 to early December. Also this October, basketball fans will be glued to the screen watching the first game of 70th Season of NBA –Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavaliers.
But professional leagues aren’t the only ones who’ll be busy this fall. Sports leagues all over the country will be equally busy, or perhaps, even more so. Unfortunately, amateur leagues do not get a slew of sponsors every season. Sports groups or clubs have to raise money for their team uniforms, equipment, travel expenses and other expenses. Fortunately, though, raising funds is now a lot easier through PEAR.
Through Pear , 501c3 organizations are connected to sponsors online. There are simple sharing tools that can be used to spread the word of any group’s story both online and off. The more people you reach, the greater the group’s award. Sponsors offer funding for custom apparel, donations, or gift cards. All you need to do is find the perfect sponsor for your group, rally your community to join your Pear, and earn money by connecting with your sponsor online. Your group has 10 days to accomplish tasks that include liking sponsors’ Facebook pages or sharing their videos. After these, you can redeem the awards that you have earned. The more supporters you have, the more funding your group receives.

Groups can get up to $1000 in Sponsorship Cash. These sponsorship dollars can be used for custom apparel (shirts, shorts, bags, water bottles, etc). Again, this sponsorship is open to ALL groups, teams, or clubs and not just sports clubs. To date, US CELLULAR has already sponsored more than 1,000 groups nationwide.
