Three of my favorite fashion brands go la femme this season. Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton and Valentino explored the girly and feminine style for their summer 2012 fashion collection.
Pretty, girly and wearable outfits reeking of the 50’s fashion represented Dior’s couture collection for the Paris fashion week of 2012. The light and sheer materials and their authentic period look added appeal to the collection. The beautiful day dresses that may be understated for couture but definitely wearable and worth investing on.
The Louis Vuitton collection showcased soft and feminine overskirts in crisp pastel colors. The wearable day dresses have very intricate detail that is truly impressive. This places the doily lace collar, drop waists and macrame’ as one of the trends for summer.
Valentino’s outfits spoke of prim and pretty romantic looks reminiscent of the Victorian era. Floral prints in satin and heavy silk, layered chiffon and high Victorian necks created a modern and feminine look that was both luxurious and informal.
