R&b singer Jojo thinks Charice Pempengco is not one of the copy machines they say she is. Jojo was not bothered but was pleased when she heard people likened the singing style of the young Filipino international singer to hers. Jojo added that “when I heard her sing the note to god, I knew that she’ll be a phenomenal star whose going to do good someday. I thought it was interesting that they made her record a song that was already on someone else’s album. But she did an incredible job, and I have nothing but respect for her. I can’t wait to hear the rest of her album. I’m excited to watch her career”
At the early age, Jojo experience and learned how competitive the showbiz industry is, and so gave an advice to the newly crowned pop princess who sang pyramid. “Stay true to who you are. And don’t forget to have a normal life outside of your career. Spend time with your family and friends. I’m sure she’s doing that. And hopefully she’ll be planning time to come back home ‘coz that’s what I try to do and as often as I can. I’m from Massachusetts, and I still live there. So I try to find my home base. So keep your home base”
Jojo is still currently in Manila and is promoting her 4th album “All I want is everything” that will be released this yearend. She says that she is excited to hear peoples reaction on her experimentation with sounds and voice in the studio. She’ll be flying back to Miami to continue writing songs and will be using her experience here in the Philippines as one of her inspirations.
