Filipino designer Michael Cinco made fellow Filipinos proud when his work was featured in episode 8 of runway reality show America’s Next Top Model’s (ANTM) cycle 16.
In that episode, Cinco’s couture dresses were worn by the six remaining contestants in a photo shoot where the models were to stand out amid the filth of a landfill in the background and the seemingly wretched birds of prey ominously hovering overhead. The combination of Michael Cinco, America’s Next Top Model gown models, noted photographer and America’s Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker, and the imposing backdrop resulted in images of drama indeed, with the glamour of Cinco’s couture in stark juxtaposition with the garbage.
Surely, for Filipinos beaming proudly of the accomplishments of Michael Cinco, America’s Next Top Model gown creations from this Filipino designer would top the list of most watched.
