Choosing jewellery is fun but can be quite difficult with the endless choices available. See Pepper Pink’s semi precious jewellery range here and you’ll find yourself browsing their fine jewellery collection for ours in search for the accessories that would make your beauty shine. Here are some tips you may want to consider in choosing your jewellery.
Shape Matters in Earrings. Round earrings would make a round face appear much rounder. So do long earrings on an oblong face. To choose earrings that would perfectly compliment your face, opt for one that is the opposite shape of your face. Try the following suggestions:
Round Shaped Face = drops or square earrings
Oval Shaped Face = round/circle earrings
Square Shaped Face = straight and curved earrings
Diamond Shaped Face = curved earrings
Triangle Shaped Face = square or circular earrings
Size Counts. In earrings, avoid using very tiny ones as these make you look larger. If you want to make it seem that you’ve just lost several pounds, wear large earrings! Just don’t wear ones that are too large for comfort. Necklaces work the same way as earrings. Always choose one opposite the length of your neck. If you have a long neck, go for short necklaces such as swagged pearls or chokers. For bracelets, those with thin arms can wear several complementing bracelets at the same time to flatter their arms. On the other hand, those with thick arms would do better without any bracelet.
Color Works. What’s your skin tone? This should also be a factor in choosing jewellery that would best accentuate your assets. Those with warm skin tones are best complimented by gold, pewter, brass, copper and gems or stones in earthy tones. Corals or gold toned pearls are perfect for warm skin tones and so are gems in brown, orange, green, yellow, coral, and turquoise. On the other hand, those with cool skin tones are best off with jewel tones of pink, purple, blue, red and magenta. White pearls and diamonds must be part of their collection. Silver, platinum, and white gold also look better on those with cool skin tones.
These are just some of the things you can consider when choosing your jewellery. However, it is most important that you feel comfortable in the jewellery you’re wearing. Though these tips may help you find what best accentuates your assets, it would still be great to step out of the box once in a while.
