I love technology! I mean, who wouldn’t? Advances in technology have given us gadget after gadget that makes life much easier.  I still remember my very first PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) many years back which I thought then was already heaven sent for busy career women like me.  Looking back, I don’t think I would have appreciated one had I already been a mom then. Imagine having to lug around a mobile phone, a PDA, a digital camera, and a game console with all the toddler stuff my son needs!

Being a perpetual Nokia user, I was extremely glad to have the opportunity to try Nokia Lumia 900.  This smartphone may not be as popular as android and apple phones, but there’s really more to Nokia Lumia 900 that makes it a great choice.

Aside from sending text messages and placing calls, I keep in touch with my loved ones through email, video conferences, and social networking sites.  Nokia Lumia 900 allows me to do all these without any difficulty.  Now I don’t need a desktop or laptop to use Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, and other SNSs. Also, I was able to set up my email without hitches – believe me, this is no easy feat for a a hectic mom/fashion blogger like me.

I’m a fashion diva, so appearances do matter to me.  The Nokia Lumia 900 comes in a sleek one-piece polycarbonate body with a 4.3” AMOLED ClearBlack glass capacitive touchscreen.  The screen is also photo lumia900_zpse43f7b2e.jpgbig enough to make typing on the QWERTY keyboard easier than in other phones. Measuring 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5mm, this smartphone fits my palm just fine and is fairly light also at just 160g.  I was given one in white but this phone also comes in  black, cyan and magenta.

Equipped with an 8MP camera that uses Carl Zeiss optics, the Nokia Lumia 900 enables me to take good quality pictures.  That means I don’t need to bring my digital camera with me during an impromptu fashion shoot or trips to the playground.  The camera also has dual LED flash which makes it really handy when taking pictures in low light areas.  Moreover, there are plenty of image capturing options that make taking pictures real fun.  Those who love to tinker with photos will love the photo-editing application, Creative Studio. Oh and there is also a 1MP front camera for video calling. The only thing I don’t like though is the difficulty of getting my photos from my phone to my pc ;/.

Other than the usual personal information management features such as calculator, calendar, phonebook, notes and to-do list, useful applications can also be easily downloaded.  Among my favorites that are in my Lumia that I installed are Allrecipes and Antimosquito for moms; Kids TV and Kids Song Machines for tots; and StyleSaint, Different Hairdo, and Fashion Stylish for fashionistas like me. One downside though is that I can’t use Instagram in this phone. Now I wish they could do something about that.

I’m a multitasking diva so a phone that I can use for work as well really makes life much easier for me. One of the features that I find most useful for work is video conferencing through Skype which is how I discuss projects with my clients. What’s more, I am able to connect through wi-fi and browse the net at fairly decent speed through Internet Explorer 9 when I need to research for the articles I’m writing.

Battery life isn’t a problem either.  It can last up to 400 hours on standby and provides me with up to 8 hours of talk time.  That means longer chitchatting on Skype for me!

I am actually currently using a Samsung because I wanted to try something different but after 6 months of using it, I had enough of it!

The Nokia Lumia 900 is definitely the quintessential smartphone for multitasking divas like me.  With all my raves about its great features, suffice it to say that I am soooo in love with this phone!
