Bryan Adams couldn’t have sung it better. “Those were the best days of my life”… That line from his Summer of ’69 song keeps ringing in my head as I look back on my college days. Yes, they were definitely the sweetest, and best days of my life. My college life was peppered with memories of being a part of this circle of friends who saw me through thick and thin.
More than the fun though, college life was of course about the serious studying stuff. I remember seeing my parents’ knit brows on more than one occasion when it came to buying textbooks for me. They didn’t come cheap, that’s for sure.
So when I recently learned that there’s this website which allows you to rent textbooks, I thought that college students these days are much luckier than we used to be.
On CampusBookRentals, you get to save 40-90% off of bookstore prices. You can even choose from different renting periods. You can have the book for a semester, a quarter, or the entire summer. Shipping is even free both ways. And with each textbook you rent, CampusBookRentals donates to Operation Smile 🙂. Now, that’s really something to smile 🙂 about!
Here’s a funny video to pretty much sum up what CampusBookRentals is all about:
I tried searching for this Calculus book which I used back then, and found it on their site. If I knew then what I know now, I would’ve been able to save more money. That meant more shopping money!
So if you happen to be a college student- or know one- check out this online textbook renting site. It’ll probably be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make in your college life.
